Artist Talk: Chakaia Booker

The artist will give a presentation on her work over the past four decades on the exhibition’s opening weekend. Registration is required. This talk is part of the Diamonstein-Spielvogel Lecture Series, made possible by the generous endowment of Dr. Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel and The Honorable Carl Spielvogel.

National Gallery Nights: Reduce, Reuse, Remix

Lottery for registration opens on Monday, March 31, at 10:00 a.m. and closes on Thursday, April 3, at noon.
Join us for a planetary celebration. Meet local artists and make your own creations out of repurposed materials with the Upcycle Creative Reuse Center. Then, explore the work of Chakaia Booker, who sculpts industrial waste into spectacular abstract forms, and experience experimental film and the sounds of DJ Les Talusan.
